Hi everyone!
Thanks for visiting my website. Id like to share with you how I came into changing my lifestyle. Thats right its a lifestyle. One of the very reasons why 95% of people cannot lose weight and keep it off is because they do not commit to a lifestyle they just diet. The problem with this common, yet non-effective approach, is that many may have some success initially, but when the diet is overthe weight comes back. For me, I was always skinny & flabby. I was very weak as well. And yes at one time, I would call myself chunky.
I was born in Bosnia, where I lived up until the war. I was a premature infant, and could not walk until almost 20 month old. As a child and up into my teens I did everything possible to avoid any physical activity what so ever. I would ask my mother to take me to the doctor for excuse notes for gym in school. I was actually afraid of it! As far as food, I was very particular. I only eat three kinds of food chicken, potatoes, and cheese. Oh, and how can I forget the extremely large amounts of chocolate and fruit. Wow. I had something healthy in there. That was the extent of my diet, and of course that had a lot to do with my physical appearance. But I didnt learn that until later in life.
In 1992 the war began in Bosnia and my family was forced to leave our country. We lost absolutely everything, down to losing our family photos. We fled with just the clothes on our back. We were lucky enough that my fathers business connection was able to assist us in settling as refugees in Germany. We had to get jobs immediately to survive. Although I finished Medical/Dental school, I could not get a related job because I did not speak German. So my sister and I worked in a local factory (panty hose factory) to be exact. I was on my feet all day long, and soon after I was feeling the first signs of back pain. Speaking of pain, I forgot to mention that from early childhood I suffered from chronic bladder infections. Countless doctors and tests could not find a treatment that worked. I was basically 24/7 on antibiotics so I can have a somewhat normal life.
It didnt take long for me to learn the German language. So within a year I applied for a job as a Dental Technician at the local laboratory. I worked there for about 3 years, then I came to America. That was a very emotional time because my entire family was still in Europe and I was here by myself. This emotional period came with over-eating and I quickly became what most call chunky. I gained 30 pounds within less that 4 months. Thats a lot of food. I ate EVERYTHING I saw, all the time. It was my fix. I was obsessed with going to restaurants. I end up see a psychologist who end up diagnosing me with an over-eating disorder.
While in America, I continued my career as a Dental Technician, and worked as on for the next nine years. I had to leave this career because I developed severe skin allergies to the chemicals in the lab. So here I am no career, skin rashes, and bladder pain. I was 108 pounds at 5-6, VERY flabby and weak. I finally went with him to the gym and I HATED IT!!!! I felt out of place. I stuck with it for a while, but then eventually stopped going. Meanwhile I was constantly at the doctors getting sick. I was basically living there. They suspected I had lupus because I couldve gotten an infection from miles away. Anything would get me sick. A short time later I got myself a full body scan. You know the kind where they can print out 3D images of you? Well, the results were not in my favor. In my late 20s, I had the bone condition of a 58 year old person. My porosity throughout the bones were scary to look at. It was, they said, the beginning of osteoporosis. My mother suffers from severe rheumatoid arthritis, so I worried that it might be hereditary. Basically, the doctor ordered me to begin weight-training and calcium supplementation to increase bone strength. I asked her Weight Training, can help my bones? Not only she said, but it reduces the risk of heart disease, cancers, increases energy levels, and supplies much needed oxygen to your lungs. There are many immune system benefits as well.
I was forced to start working out, so I hired a personal trainer. The rest is history. With the right personal trainer, I not only changed my body and improved my health but believe it or not I LEARNED TO LOVE IT. All the pain and sickness eventually went away! My bone density improved dramatically in the months to follow. I couldnt believe that simply food, and weight training could change my life completely. It was almost like a miracle. But it wasnt really, it was simply the decision to commit, get the right trainer who personalized the workouts and nutrition I needed. And let me tell you, I guarantee that if you followed a program like mine for example, you not only have results, but once you see the new you. Youll NEVER go back!
Since I had experienced results in this way, I wanted to help others like my trainer helped me. I studied vigorously and read literally 100s of books on the subject of training and nutrition. It certainly helped that earlier in life I attained a Medical/Dental degree. I eventually attained my certification from the International Sports and Science Association, and I now can and WILL help as many people who are willing to commit to looking and feeling their best.

One-on-one personal training, or training in groups of 2, 3, or 4 people.
If you prefer privacy and more focused attention, then one-on-one training is for you. One-on-one training is recommended for highly motivated people who want to see rapid results.
Group training great for people who would like to train with their friends, and keep their cost down. You still get the hands on attention you need while getting the results you want!

I will outline a complete nutrition program based on your needs. I will provide you with a complete daily meal plan with options, and adjusted accordingly with the results you are getting. I also recommend daily supplement regime.
The food, or fuel, you provide your body can literally make or break your efforts. Many competitive athletes say their diets contribute to at least 50% to their success, and many consider the percentage to be even higher. In my experience, I believe that 80 % of your success depends on your diet.
Before I begin developing your own personal nutrition plan, we must realize that nature prefers the status quo. You can most definitely change your body, but no matter what some media guru tells you, there are no 30-minute, sit-com solutions or even 12-week total transformations. Yes, although some few people may experience a miracle in 30 days not me or any of my clients have. The other issue is these quick fixed as I call them, do not promote long term success and many people seem to go right back to the weight they were to begin with.
Many trainers, on sheer personality alone, seem to sell most people they meet on the fantasy of the easy way out. In my experience, and from many others I know, you simply cannot change your body in a major way with an in-home 30 minute workout tape. Not without all the other ingredients. For example, how many of you reading this right now have one or more workout tapes or DVDs collecting dust somewhere? Does your library contain one or more books on diets? I bet they do. But guess what YOURE STILL TRYING! Much of the current fitness industry thrives on individual hopes and dreams for life altering changes.
What, how much, and when to eat can be very confusing because it takes time to get to know yourself. As an individual, your body will respond differently than anyone elses to training, diet and supplements. You will be amazed at what you discover about yourself. You need to view this as a long-term project and lifestyle change.
Based on your goals and your individual body assessment, I will design a nutritional program specifically for you. This program will allow you to achieve your desired goals. Share with me the foods you like and the foods you dislike so I can design a program to which you will enjoy and follow. Also remember, a plan is useless if you dont follow it.

The nutritional lifestyle plan is designed to enable your body to burn fat. Eating every 3 hours, and following a high protein diet will speed up your metabolism. This will allow your body to maintain a lower amount of body fat and a higher amount of muscle tissue. Common habits, or as a I call mistakes, such as skipping breakfast, eating 1-3 large meals per day and eating before bed all condition the body to accumulate body fat and break down muscle tissue.
This nutritional lifestyle plan is just that- a lifestyle. It is not meant to be temporary measure, but a permanent adjustment to your eating habits. You shouldnt stop following the nutritional plan and return to your old habits because your body will revert to its previous state.

Think Thin...it all starts in your mind
The mind is a powerful thing. I'm sure you've all heard that one. What you might not have heard is that when the mind is applied in a positive way miracles can happen. Simply put, everything starts in the mind. Ever wonder why someone can try and quit smoking 20 times in a row while trying every drug, patch, and gadget and others just stop? It's the mind! The reason why some people could just stop is because they made a conscious decision, and they were passionate and convinced about the result. You'd be surprised how many people make (voice) decisions while not truly buying into them 100%. Have you ever made a decision where in the back of your mind you had even a shred of doubt? I have. If you're like most people, you had too. Some doubt will lead to possible short-lived success, while more doubt will simply lead to nothing. You're better off not even bothering.
The good news is that your mind can be trained. Most of us are born with the essential operating functions of the brain that can think, imagine, and visualize images in our minds. Well, that's all you need to begin. If I asked you to picture yourself physically as perfect to you, could you? Could you even allow yourself to see You with that great body of health or would you immediately visualize a model or celebrity you admire? If you can't picture yourself the doubt is there and needs to be removed. You need to have that inner motivation, confidence, and faith that you will have the body and health you desire. Do what it takes to get your mind to that place of faith!
You must forget past attempts at your perfect body of health. Re-living failed attempts at getting into shape is like getting cut, getting stitches, and cutting yourself again! Its that damaging. If you continue to relive past failures, then you will without doubt associate any new attempts to failure. Whether consciously or subconsciously theres the doubt. Theres the seed of failure being planted again. You can't get off the treadmill, until you jump! Hope of succeeding is only part of the equation. Hope will get you started, but faith will carry you to your goal.
I'd like to suggest re-programming! Listen, I'm no Psychiatrist, but I'll bet anything that anyone who thinks or says, I gain weight easily, will do just that. Oh, my parents were big, so I guess it runs in the family. I don't buy it! Maybe it runs in the family because instead of growing up eating fruits and vegetables you watched your parents eat pizza and down beer! Of course fat will run in the family, who are you learning from. I don't buy its biochemistry related to large parents, rather I choose to believe its mentally related to what we see and are exposed to growing up. You have the choice of being your own person, the choice to believe what you want to, and the power to enforce control over your own mind. No one anywhere could take that away from you. Its your one true source of power.
Before I started Lejla's program, I was working 9 to 6, and being a couch potatoe at night. I had no energy to do anything else. I tried every diet imaginable, and I still kept gaining weight.
